The customer faced considerable operational challenges due to screens becoming saturated with clay, requiring frequent manual cleaning. This labor-intensive process caused significant downtime, negatively impacting productivity and operational efficiency. The customer sought a solution to minimize maintenance time and optimize their processes.
Buffalo recommended implementing self-cleaning screens with two 1/2-inch and one 1/4-inch measurements. Through extensive testing, these screens demonstrated exceptional durability and effectiveness over more than ten years. The self-cleaning design effectively minimized downtime caused by clay buildup, providing a longer lifespan than conventional screens. This solution reduced maintenance time and improved consistency in operations, addressing the customer’s productivity concerns.
Through close collaboration with the plant manager, we identified the issue's root and developed a cost-effective, durable solution. After assessing the benefits of self-cleaning screens, the customer decided to replace their conventional screens, resulting in enhanced productivity and significant long-term cost savings. This partnership resolved the immediate challenge and delivered a more efficient and reliable manufacturing process for sustained operational success.
